AAES Youth Riding Programs

The extensive youth program, through development of friendship, team spirit, and competitive thinking, will cultivate the desire to set and reach goals your children will be motivated to attain. From the beginning stages of equestrian development, to the junior international level competitor, the Academy offers a wide variety of lessons to fit you and your child's needs. This is a great stepping stone into the equestrian world for young horse enthusiasts, while providing them much needed social interaction with peers of the same age and interests.

Both our Rider Certificate Program and our Open Enrollment/Single Lesson options are open to children ages 4 and older. We provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where students can learn to handle and safely care for these large, loving animals. Please see the Rider Certificate Program page and the Single Lesson Options/Sessions page for more information on each program respectively.

Summer and Year-Round Camps 2009-2010

One of our favorite things about the warm, bright days of summer is the opportunity to work with our equestrian campers! Their accomplishments, giggles, and early morning freshness continue throughout the hot, humid afternoons as they assist in the simple, yet confidence building activities of routine stable chores, the care of rescue pups, and of course their most favored recreation-their riding lessons!

The goal of the AAES camps is to promote healthy growth and development both in younger kids and upcoming adults by giving them an opportunity to develop responsibility, respect for themselves and others, support for one another through positive social interaction, and mental and physical fitness through group activities that evoke team spirit, sportsmanship, and community awareness.

Your camper's experience at the Academy is paramount to us. AAES Camps 2009-2010 will offer innovative levels of challenge and activities for new and returning campers alike-all built upon the foundation of our world-class equestrian fundamentals. The camp dates for  the 2009-2010 program year, as well as the registration forms, are available on our Summer Youth Camp page.

Girl Scout Programs

AAES is proud to offer the Girl Scout Brownies Animal badge work, as well as the Horse Fan and Rider badges for the Junior Girl Scouts.  All requirements for each of the badges can be done in one visit, with time frames and prices varying depending on which badge your Girl Scouts are looking to earn.  Please click on the links below for more information on each of the badges.

We are listed on the GSCNC as an approved vendor, and warmly welcome your Troop to call and discuss appointment times and options!  If you don't see a badge that you are interested in, or if you'd like to inquire about setting up a customized program for your Troop, please call us!
