Rider Certificate Program
The Whole Equestrian Package
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Rider Certificate Program (RCP) is our signature program in which each participant earns one rank at a time from beginner (Light Green) all the way to advanced level rider (Gold II). The Rider Certificate Program includes:
RIDING: One to five lessons per week, private or group. In order to achieve the desired reaction from your horse, you need to understand not only what physically needs to be done, but also how that reaction takes places physiologically. Through your riding lessons, you'll develop an understanding of how the horse reacts, what factors impact the reaction, and you can positively influence those factors. Essential elements needed to be able to apply your aids correctly, such as balance and timing on the rider's part, will also be discussed in detail during your lessons.
WELLNESS
THROUGH RIDING â„¢ PROGRAM: A customized program that is tailored specifically for you, including recommendations for exercises and monthly health and nutrition classes. You'll be able to ask questions on how
to strengthen certain parts of your body, and learn how the modern environment influences the developing athlete. The health and nutrition classes will give you a basic understanding of how food
and nutrition play a role in your body's functioning and muscle
development. Knowing how easily a busy life can get out of hand,
emphasis is placed not only on how to eat healthily, but also how to
redirect your lifestyle to allow time for healthful activities.Tell us your goal, and we'll help you get there!
THEORY:
Theory classes in our upstairs classroom that cover a wide variety of level-appropriate topics to round out your equestrian education and give you a deeper understanding of the equestrian art. The theory classes are held every Friday, from September 2009 through May 2010, at 5pm for youth members and 6pm for adult members.
TESTING: Testing will be offered twice in the 2009-2010 program year, once in May 2010 and again in November 2010. The tests are designed to measure the level of knowledge and skill gained during the year and are composed of three parts: a verbal quiz, written test, and practical riding session. Testing is required for advancement to the next level and is a great way to prepare for competition.
