Our Facility The American Academy of Equestrian Sciences is a full service, equestrian facility which caters to aspiring and established equestrians from four years of age upwards. From beginner through the Olympic levels in Dressage, Stadium Jumping, and Three Day Eventing, our equestrian programs are outstanding. Located conveniently just outside of Leesburg, we are an ideal location for horseback riding lessons in Ashburn, Leesburg, and surrounding areas.
Training You will find a unique program, applicable in all disciplines of the equine sport at the American Academy of Equestrian Sciences. Whatever your riding specialty, this customized program will be tweaked to fit your needs and help you aspire to wherever your goals may lie. We specialize in Dressage, Stadium Jumping and Eventing Disciplines. The Academy offers primarily two different training packages to choose from the Rider Certificate Program and the Session Program. We also offer Theory classes which are taught in a classroom setting.
If you are interested in sending your horse to training here at the Academy, you'll meet with our Head Trainer to develop a customized training plan that exactly fits your needs, abilities, and aspirations. The training program that we develop with you will serve as a guideline for the training that we will subsequently do with your horse. The emphasis in our training programs is completely on you, your horse, and the successful development of that relationship.
Horse Boarding We are proud of our first-class boarding facility. The barn is adjacent and directly attached to the in-door arena and training facilities so that you and your horse are spared from the elements during inclement weather. The boarding stables themselves were built and strategically designed with the comfort and well-being of your horse in mind, coupled with an easy to use floor-plan so as to make grooming, saddling, and un-tacking as simple as possible.
